This sweet dog was found and brought to Houston Animal Control in a very thin state and with minor frostbite on it's paws. It has been eating and drinking well and has increased energy. Awesome dog, House trained and obedience trained. Loves the snow and loves to play catch and release. He's the best dog i've ever had. I'm moving and the city im moving to has banned pitbulls for some odd reason I love this dog and want to find a great home. You must have a house with a yard. I have been fostering a beautiful almost 2-year-old Pitbull by the name of Mr. Biggs but his owner decided to relinquish him and I, very unfortunately, can not keep him forever. It breaks my heart to have to give him up but I am hoping to find his forever home. He is house broken. Knows all basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. Dale is a 2yr old red nose pit currently an temporarily being fostered by a couple in the area. They are watching him because I couldn't have pets where I live. Dale was abandoned by his last owner and I did not want to see him go to the pound. I am moving out of state in less than a month and I am on a time crunch to find Dale a home. I do not want to have to take him to the pound when I move. He is a very sweet dog, great with adults, children and other dogs. He is a GREAT dog,The owner left state and due to moving in with a sick elder parent, I wont be able to care for him anylonger.He is very 'potty'trained he wont even go bathroom in the fenced kennel.He is happy and energetic,He does well with my cat and rabbit.I also have a 3 yr old and he will sit for her.I will truly miss him. I have a beautiful lab and pitbull mix, male dog who has been a part of my family for the last 4 1/2 years. I cannot figure out why he is aggressive with some dogs and not with others. He is great at the dog park, and in open spaces with other dogs. His problems arise when he is in close spaces (such as sharing a home) with another dog. He is a very good dog, and can be left unsupervised for hours. I have him scheduled to be euthanized on the 27th of this month. Was temperarly helping a friend out for '3 months' would love to keep her but we are leaving state and there are pitbull restrictions where were going. Jazzy is the sweetest dog I've ever owned. She loves other dogs and kids hasn't gone after my . She is submissive but gets excited when playing, have to redirect her. Tought her to fetch and is still leary of water but will go in up to her chest. She has never shown any agression what so ever w/pple or other dogs. I adopted Hennessey from a Military family. He came into my family shy and submissive. He was scared of every noise he heard and was terrified of riding in a car. Now, he is still submissive but very excitable, he loves people, he will even willingly jump in the car but he is food agressive. This started when a kitten was introduced into the household and has gotten worse. He seems to be okay when his food is in a different setting (when camping he is fine with people and strange dogs coming around him) but in my house he is very aggressive. Pit Bull Dogs can make good pets in Alaska if they match your IifestyIe. The American Pit Bull Terrier is a powerful dog with an undeserved reputation for inherent viciousness. A Pit Bull that receives attention, firm training, and thorough socialization makes a wonderful family guardian that is trustworthy with children. Pit Bulls need committed, experienced owners that exude leadership. Pit Bulls excel at high level obedience with proper training. Pit Bulls have been bred for dog fights, and unfortunately a dog that is abused, neglected, or whose instinctive aggression is encouraged, can become hostile and dangerous. Pit Bulls can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise.
