VERY LOVABLE!!!!! Bear is a pit bull/boxer mix. He loves women! Fully house-trained and crate-trained. He is being fostered right now and in search of a permanent home. His next owner would need to have a yard where he can run and play. He loves going for walks and car rides. He does do well with all dogs but would prefer to be with only females. His first owner left him in the crate for 16 hours of the day and he does have separation anxiety. He has made tremendous progress since we (the foster family) took him in. She has a horrid case of mange, that we are treating , so she will not be availble for a while. Although she came in very scared and in distress, she is doing quite well here at the shelter, as you can see from the next two pics. She looks like a little piggy, being so pink in color, but we pleased to say, that she is gaining weight, becoming much more social and loves to play! Precious is absolutely wonderful, potty trained, very affectionate. She was neglected before I got her so all she is wants is love. She never leaves my side. She knows basic commands, is great with dogs when introduced properly. If I had the money to get a new apartment I would so I could keep her. I came across Chance while running in East Rock Park early last Friday morning. He was emaciated and frightened. A fellow runner and good samaritan who lived close by stopped and we took him to her home for some food and water. He was such a good tempered dog and so loving and appreciative that I couldn't turn my back on him. i need help desperately. have adult american red nose pit. it was actually my fiance's dog,but i lost my man feb 2011. because we were robbed when we lived in mass. my fiance' trained this dog to be a guard dog and to protect and serve his masters,me included. since february i have been trying to live on a small pension. since june i have been trying to find another home for cain. no shelter will take him cuz they say they r full,(due to the economy). police have been to my house five times. first four times was because cain was barking excessively. i used to have 2 other dogs which i had to surrender do to my situation,i still get ... You can almost see her smile when you walk near her kennel. Lucy has skin issues, which is very prevalent in Shar Pei's. That is why she is special needs.
