He is great with other dogs of all sizes (his best friend is a 6 pound chihuahua), children over age 5 or so and is friendly to cats although he sometimes startles them in his eagerness to sniff them. I drove to New York City back in April to Rescue Buster from a high kill shelter. He was going to be put down. My intention was always to foster him and find him a good home. Crixus was left tied to our tree in the cold back in January as a very young puppy. He is about 8 months now (we think). Because the local shelters euthanize pits, we could not bear turning him over to Animal Control. He has been raised in our home since then, with our two young children (ages 2 and 6) and our two small dogs (a beagle-mix and a pomapoo). He is about 60 lbs now and is a beautiful black with some white on his chest, head, and paws. Although pits are known for their aggressive behavior, Crixus is very loving and gets along well our children and other animals. Very loving well trained micro-chipped 18 month old mix-I am unable to handle him or train him not growl at certain dogs and people and now he is marking. I have had him since mid January. I live with my brother and after 6 months this dog has started urinating on my brothers bed pillows and now his couch and floor - doesnt do this to my stuff-not sure what changed to encourage this behavior but have been told the dog has to go. I love him and this is very hard. It could be separation anxiety but I travel alot and its not fair if my brother cannot take care of him while I am away. i saved tyson from a house in baltimore city he was left outside in the heat and rain for a couple weeks and was very under weight. i gave him to a home who later had problems and returned him. i already have one large dog and cannot keep him. he is free. he is not fixed nor has he had any shots since i got him. he is a good dog, will sit, lay and give paw just is only half house broken and half crate trained but is a puppy who wants to learn. he needs a good home where he is not abused, fought, or abandoned. he just needs love and has alot of love to give. Very affectionate - loves to play fetch. I have to move and I can't take him with me, my landlord own't allow his bred. Friendly, lives with cats, so he's fine with them. I got him from a shelter 3 years ago and he was so traumatized by the shelter he wouldn't eat or drink or play while he was there, but perked right up when I brought him home. Please help!
