Leila is a beautiful dog and loves affection. We got her when she was 4 wks old so and she will be 4 in May 2012, we have had her for a while. Unfortunately, we are losing our home and had to get an apartment and they do not accept pets. I DO NOT want her put down. I called the MSPCA but they could not guarantee that she wouldnt be put down. Our dog was around 2 children..ages 6 & 4 and 2 cats. She's a great dog and it breaks our hearts to have to give her away. So I'm hoping to find her a good home that can give her lots of love, and take really good care of her. Very sweet young female pit bull (probably under 1 yo) needs a loving home. She is great with cats, people and other dogs outside the house. She would probably be fine with other dogs inside the house with a little work. Right now she looks confused and barks a couple of times when she sees her foster family's dog but shows no other signs of aggression. This dog would make an amazing and loyal companion. A bit skinny and dull coated, her spirit was not diminished. Saved one day before her kill day, she was one of the fortunate. She settled in beautifully and did not fret or worry, just fit right in. As the days have passed she has proven to be exceptionally intelligent, soft to teach, with a medium energy level. Being fostered by behaviorists is advantageous on many levels for a rescue. Her first Exercology class with Kathy was yesterday! She did great!! At 34 days in, we could not be more pleased. Naiya is thriving! With a shiny black coat, a couple of pounds added and a bright dog smile she is an elite companion. Naiya would make a brilliant agility or flyball dog competitor. Naiya gets along well with all dogs and people. She is sweet, confident and curious. Takes very well to pack leadership. Great girl. Hi, My one and a half year old pittbull & mastiff mix named Tyger needs a new home. My landlord will not let me keep him anymore and I face eviction if I do not find him a new home soon. Tyger is very playful and full of energy. He loves to run, go for long walks and dig. He's great with other dogs and children. Tyger is extremely lovable and has no aggression issues what so ever. Phantom is a 4 year old male who is not happy with his circumstances. He needs to be an only dog with a strong male buddy, someone who has time to try and train him right. Since the kids arrival, he has become more aggressive towards everyone, including his owners and we are hopeful this can be corrected in a home where he is the 'one and only'. Penny is a great dog with people, however she is aggressive with other small animals. She has had three incidents with other dogs. Last month she bit one of our neighbor's dogs who needed stitches in two locations. Penny has never showed any aggression at all to any humans. We have one 11 month old daughter and a baby on the way. I really do not feel Penny is a threat to the kids, but don't want to take a chance. She is a great dog and will love her owners a lot. Very people friendly female pit bull estimated to be approximately 1.5-2 yrs old. She came into the animal hospital I work at as a stray and was to be euthanized, but she was such a sweet girl I rescued her in the hopes of finding her a good home and giving her another chance. She is a complete sweetheart with people, but is dog aggressive and likely should be the only pet. She seems great with kids, but given her unknown history and sometimes higher energy she should probably be placed in a home with older children or adults. A Pit Bull that receives attention, firm training, and thorough socialization makes a wonderful family guardian that is trustworthy with children. Pit Bulls need committed, experienced owners that exude leadership. Pit Bulls excel at high level obedience with proper training. Pit Bulls have been bred for dog fights, and unfortunately a dog that is abused, neglected, or whose instinctive aggression is encouraged, can become hostile and dangerous. Pit Bulls can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise.
