Chauncey was a rescue to begin with, I adopted him at 2 years and he was extreamly hiper because he was crated 90% of his first two years. He is a great dog, does tricks(sit,lay,sit pretty,shake,stand)not two good with other dogs at first, but after a week he is fine! he will kill any other animal(squarrels,birds,cats,mice) still cant believe he can catch them. house trained, kennel trained, will bark at door when knocked on. I am working extremly too much(getting sent away for weeks at a time) and cant keep him anymore, hoping someone will adopt otherwise he will have to go to a shelter, and could be put down. Toby is a 2 yr. old brindle color Boxer/Pit mix. He was rescued by my son at the age of 8-10 wks., found in an alley scrounging for food. My son has since taken a job that requires major hours and no longer has time to spend with Toby. I have three little dogs who take up my time and now Toby needs a loving forever home with people who will spend time with him. He is a sweet dog and gets along beautiful with our little guys and the cat. He has had a scuff or two over food but it is always started by one of our little guys. Now we feed him in a seperate area and the problem is solved. The only issue Toby has seems to be with small children ... (Read More)in the age range of 3-12. I can't speak for babies because we have none and he has never bitten the kids. He has however, seemed to fear them and need to be dominant by putting a paw on each of their shoulders and then he head butts them which causes bloody noses and goose eggs on foreheads. This is by no means why we are looking for another loving home for him.It is because I hate to see him spend his days without much human interaction (which he loves to be loved). Toby has been raised an inside dog but would love to be somewhere that gives him sometime in a fenced in yard with room to play and people who will spend time with him as he loves to play fetch. I am not asking for an adoption fee because a loving home with a forever family is the most important aspect of a dog's life. Please, won't you give him a chance to be your companion. I'm looking for some help with a pit bull that is going to be taken to animal control on Monday. The problem with Animal Control is they will not adopt a pit bull, they will only put them to sleep. Unfortunately the poor dog was taken to a vet office to be treated for parvo and the owner decided they no longer want the dog. The vet office is willing to keep the dog until Monday but if they cannot find a place for this dog by then, they will take the dog to animal control. I'm not exactly sure how long the vet has had the dog but they are allowing people to come see him now for adoption. Please, if there is anything you can do or some ... Lola is a super sweet 10-12 week old Pitbull mix. She gets along well with our 3 other dogs at this point. She loves kids and adults. She has an allergy to corn, so she needs food without that as a filler. I have been giving her homemade food, but she tolerated the Rachel Ray food well also. We would love to keep this sweetie, but we already have 3 large dogs and don't have room for her. We took her in because her previous owner was going to drop her off in a field because she pooped on the floor. She is very smart and listens well to 'no'. Kayla is a GREAT dog for anyone that lives alone or does not have small animals. She does not do well with small animals and although I have never had issues with her and small children I just always play it safe. She has never bit anyone but does have issues with small animals. She sleeps constantly and requires very little maintenance. She is housebroke, eats 2x daily with no issues. She does not chew on things and is not aggressive. Please help this sweet little girl Bella! Bella is a pitbull about 18 months old. I found her starving, dehydrated and terrified running along train tracks in a blighted area of Detroit. She was so frightened it took me 3 hours to approach her and begin to gain her trust. I managed to feed her a little beef jerky and got her into the car. Nervous at first, she got warm and fell asleep. I think that was her first chance to rest and let her guard down in her miserable little lifetime. It's amazing how quickly she bounced back and gained weight. She now weighs 42 pounds. She is so beautiful, strong and healthy now. If you just met her you wouldn't think she suffered at all. She is a tough little Detroit girl. Bella deserves a kind and loving home. The humane society would simply kill her for her breed. Bella doesn't get along with other dogs and doesn't do well in a cage. She would never survive a kennel shelter. Nobody would see her wonderful personality through her fear. She is a people dog and will bond with you for a lifetime if you give her even the smallest chance. Bella is now a sweet, confident, dog. It's hard to think of letting her go. If she got along with the other dogs I would keep her, but she needs to be in a loving single pet home. When we adopted Zoey, we thought she was an American Bulldog and Lab mix. Come to find out that means Terrier, or Pitbull. This hasn't been a problem until now. I have moved in with my daughter in a mobile home park that doesn't allow 'pitbulls'. Therefore, I have no choice but to find her a new home or put her down.
