A special girl... I have taken care of Molly since April 2007 and with a heavy heart, am looking to find her a better home with people who can give her more time. A little about her... Her actual birthday is unknown; I approximated her b'day to be 4/01/05. She is spayed and weighs around 60 lbs of muscle. She's a compact little tank, just as tough, and very athletic. She's very fearful of those she doesn't know, especially men, but once she decides you're ok, she's asking for handshakes and neckrubs. She currently lives with 2 cats, and she is accepting and peaceful of both of her feline housemates. She has also been very tolerant of ... But fair warning; she will destroy and devour anything she is given (or rocks!) She loves to go for car rides, wherever, whenever. She is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle; she will become your shadow. I want nothing more than for her to go with a family that is active and likes the outdoors, and are willing to accomodate and include her in their adventures; and can commit to going for a daily walk together at the very least. The challenge... She has proven to be very unpredictable around other dogs. She is currently not a dog that I believe should be off leash; nor taken to a dog park. She's sporadically shown aggressive behaviors towards other dogs and fearfully aggressive towards random humans. She requires someone to continue working with her behavioural issues in a calm, stable, and assertive way. He is most likely a foreclosure pet - a pet that was left behind when his family lost their home. He's been to the vet and is healthy. He loves people, kids, and other dogs. Harley is a purebred pitbull and is about 2.5 years old. We bought him at the humane society when he was about 2 months old and have thoroughly enjoyed having him as our family pet. We have 3 children (12, 1, and 3 weeks) and he has been great with all of them. Being a high energy dog he does require a lot of walking (usually about 4 or 5 times a week for about 45 min to an hour or a 30 min run or rollerblade) but as long as you walk him he behaves wonderfully (if he doesn't get walked enough he becomes annoyingly hyper but never bites or anything just jumping and trying to play). My husband found Missy running around where he works in Stockton. She was super skinny, had ticks, and was following everyone around! She clearly needed someone to love! She likes to play-but her very favorite thing in the world is to just lie next to her people and snuggle! She would be a lap dog if she wasn't 50 pounds! She loves to just lay there and let you pet her super soft coat! She is very gentle, and is the most loving dog we have EVER met! She is very smart. Pit Bulls have been bred for dog fights, and unfortunately a dog that is abused, neglected, or whose instinctive aggression is encouraged, can become hostile and dangerous. Pit Bulls can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise.
