This is Burner. Let's just be honest and say he is a handful. Burner is like the bad teenager down the street that keeps getting himself in trouble, but you just know that with a little (or a lot of) discipline and structure in his life, he could actually grow up to be a very good kid. He came to us from Beatty after his owner moved to California and just left him behind, and up to that point Burner was clearly left to raise himself and do whatever he wanted. (Read More)visitors freely walk back to see our dogs in the kennel area. He is loud, barks, doesn't seem very friendly, and he riles all the other dogs up. He is quickly passed by. But he is just screaming for attention! Get him out in the yard, and you see that he actually IS a good dog. He is active and playful and curious, and he actually sits - and waits - quite well for treats. He likes to goofily run around with his squeaky balls and is not willing to give them up freely. He is handsome and has beautiful eyes; we are thinking he is a German shorthaired pointer/pit bull mix, which explains his high energy too. Burner needs someone active that will give him a lot of room to burn off all of his excessive energy (fenced or leashed, of course), and with that comes a much easier to train and control dog. He is only 10-months-old, so he is definitely in his 'teen years,' but he just so happened to fall in with the wrong crowd. Time to put him in a polo shirt and khakis and teach him some manners. Here is the issue we have, I rescued her when she was about 1 years old, she was abused before that. She is the only female animal in the house I have two older pits. Just recently she got out front and attacked a leashed dog of my neighbors, out of nowhere., just two days ago she attacked one of her own, my 8 yr old pitbull.. I don't know why this is happening. But I have 3 kids and one being very tiny. I feel I'd like to find her a good home, before making the decision to euthanize. She's never bit any of us..
