Franklin was found abandoned and injured on the busy FDR Drive in NYC. A concerned person followed police who took him to the Manhattan Animal Care and Control, and a kind foster saved him from doggie 'jail.' Franklin was nursed back to health, and has thrived in a foster home surrounded by other dogs and loving people (who also happen to be professional dog trainers). He has really honed his skills in foster care (meal time manners, leash walking, and house training), and he is now ready for an amazing permanent home. Kermie is a very loving and obedient dog in most situations. I have fostered him for 4 months and he has responded very favorably to treat rewards. He is also crate trained. The problem we are encountering is that Kermie becomes very easily overaroused during play. This can occur with human interaction but he responds well to correction and a short time out in his crate.
