Rescue Me ID: 17-02-15-00494Starlin (female)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Starlin is a gorgeous 8 month old looking for her forever home! She's stunning and just finished training with a licensed trainer. She is good with most other dogs and we have only met one other dog she didn't like her size, good with children, not cat tested but I would say no to cats or small animals due to her size and how hard she plays. Starlin has a higher energy level and requires a fenced yard for exercise and at her age, socializing is extremely important. She is a sweet girl and we are told housetrained although we don't guarantee due to possible regression in a new environment. But at the very least she has a great start. She ... If no yard, mandatory leash requirement. *breeds are not guaranteed in rescue but a guess based on appearance, vet guidance, and information from previous owners if a surrender case. *housetraining is not guaranteed. PIease Read Before Adopting a Pit Bull in North Dakota
Pit Bull Dogs can make good pets in North Dakota if they match your IifestyIe. The American Pit Bull Terrier is a powerful dog with an undeserved reputation for inherent viciousness. A Pit Bull that receives attention, firm training, and thorough socialization makes a wonderful family guardian that is trustworthy with children. Pit Bulls need committed, experienced owners that exude leadership. Pit Bulls excel at high level obedience with proper training. Pit Bulls have been bred for dog fights, and unfortunately a dog that is abused, neglected, or whose instinctive aggression is encouraged, can become hostile and dangerous. Pit Bulls can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise.

lnteresting Pit Bull Trivia Low-Cost North Dakota Spay & Neuter Clinics
Some people believe that Pit Bulls are identical to what Bulldogs were in the past. Unfortunately, Pit Bulls are often used for illegal dog fighting. A disproportionate number of Pit Bulls are put down in major American cities each year. American Pit Bull Terriers are very similar, and some argue identical, to Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
