Female pitbull mix needs a forever loving home. Very sweet submissive dog. Willing to learn and please. I found this dog and have tired for weeks to find her owner and have had no luck. Then checked into shelters and because of her breed have had no luck. She seems to have been mistreated at one time and came to me scared and thin. Currently in a foster home for Austin Animal Center, Kate is a sweet, affectionate, and strikingly beautiful 5-year old female Pointer/Pit mix who loves being around people. She's really a lap dog in a medium-sized dog's body. If Kate had her way, she'd be curled up all day on a couch next to you, with a blanket over her, a pillow under her head, and her plush toys in her arms-that's how she rolls. I need to place a pit bull with a knowledgeable rescue. He is not a puppy but still quite young - no exact age yet. Can't afford the full vet check but have gotten his first round of shots and blood drawn for some labwork to make sure he is healthy. He needs to be with a very knowledgeable trainer because he is deaf. he is a pretty dog, almost all white with only a few tiny spots on his back. He does bark. He is subservient to the other dogs except at feeding time when he grabs his food pan, hides it behind him and growls at everyone. *update* after spending a few days with him, I believe he is pretty much completely housebroken, he has a super 'soft' mouth - wont take a treat from your hand until you have loved on his head with the other hand and actually put the treat in his mouth and let go of it, knows how to play a little ball, and rope toss - but wont play tug-o-war with you. Truly loves to nest with his toys or any other belonging he thinks should be his. Barks a LOT when chained outside ( I HATE chaining a dog, so he is only tied out for a short time.) We think he had been pretty abused when we first got him. He had been rescued by Angela at Dogtown in Hempstead. He then went on to live with a Buster's Friends foster for a while and moon lighting at Meadow Lake where he played with other dogs during the days. She does nock her food out of the bowl so you would need to feed her on an easy clean surface. She is leash trained and loves to go for quiet walks were their is little activity. Would not make the ideal dog for someone who wants a pet to take to the dog park. She is trainable but VERY stubborn. Ginger is 3 years old. And weighs probly 45-50lbs. He ran straight for the volunteer. And, rolled over for a belly rub! Dino didn't attack, pin, or bite. In fact, he's never bitten. He just wanted the love he deserves.
