I am so excited that both puppies went to the same home. The couple has several other Pitbulls. They were only coming to get the female but fell in love with her brother as well. I could not have gotten a happier ending. Thank you for this website. My friend was struggling with trying to keep them but financially falling short. Since I got one of the puppies from the same litter, I decided to help her out and found Rescue Me! Thank you so much!!!

I have been looking for a friend. Thanks to Rescue Me, I found Reagan. I was browsing dogs. Trying to find the right one for me. Rescue Me makes it easy and fast. I couldn't be happier. Reagan is doing very well, I brought her home and now she can't stop laying on me. She is a good dog, very protective of me. I just want to thank Rescue Me and the lady I got Reagan from. Without them, I would have never met my best friend. Reagan couldn't be happier, really, it's true. Every time I leave the house and come back, she acts like I've been gone for weeks, months, maybe even years. When I walk through the door, she just gets so excited. Thank you Rescue Me for helping me find Reagan.

Our boy was not able to be himself, constantly in trouble with our other male dog. He immediately connected with the young family that came out to see him. He went home with them that night, after tearful goodbyes. I recently got a picture of him, his new cat friend, and their kiddo all taking over the bed. So glad to have let him go to grow into the amazing dog I know he could be. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Nine pets adopted to approved owners in as many months by the Rescue Me site viewers. That's what rescue is all about! Happy journeys start at the rescue level, but it takes a blessing to find forever families for these rescues. The help Rescue Me offers is fantastic and they support the rescuers on their site at every stage of the process. Nine animals with a family forever. No greater blessing than that.

We were so happy when Jenni returned our call about Addie just a few minutes after we inquired about her. Jenni was very helpful and described Addie's situation, needs, and temperament. She sent several more pictures as well. She asked to meet our dog (a pitbull/red Doberman mix) and a couple of hours after the introductions were made, Addie had a new home. She is such a beautiful and sweet tempered dog. Very well behaved, gentle and loves to kiss and play. Jenni wanted to make sure she would go to a good home, and checked on her later in the evening. We couldn't be happier with our new family member. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Thank you, Rescue Me. I could never part from my Princess. When I adopted her, she had to be treated for heart worm and came through like a Princess she is. Adoption is for life, not until I have financial problems. I love my fur kids.

I came across Cheyenne while searching local rescue groups. I scheduled a meet and greet and the rest is history! She is such a sweet, loving, playful girl. She gets along great with my other two dogs and my two year old son. She has made our little family complete. I wouldn't have found her if it weren't for Rescue Me. Thank you!

After my local pound refused to take our sweet little man because it is too hard for them to rehome. I decided to post him on here. I am glad I did. In about a week I was contacted by a young man about Bruno. After talking to his references and meeting him and his friends Bruno went home with him. They are planning on updating me with pictures for at least a little while. Thanks to Rescue Me when no one else would help.

I was looking for a home for my Blue Nose Pitbull, Mazy. I posted her on this site and someone came out to see her. A veteran was looking for a new service dog. She chose him right away. Once he got her, she refused to leave. She had chosen her spot in his life and I believe it was the best choice for her. I couldn't have done it without this website. She left with a big smile on her face, eager to go check out her new home.

My husband and I have thought about getting another dog for our current Pit Bull, Bella. We thought she might like a friend. We have had Bella about four years and our daughter ran into Myles. She texted me a picture and begged me to adopt him. Nobody wants a three-legged dog, right? We had Bella visit him and they really got along to my surprise. We fell in love with him too, so my husband and I laughed and said it looks like we are getting another dog! Myles has been a great addition to our family and we love him so much! He is very special. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Posting Tyson was one of the most painful decisions that I had to make. I posted him last week and got a call a day later. The new owner came to my home and fell in love with Tyson the minute she saw him and it was painful to see him go. But hopefully Tyson is in a much better home where he'll have room to run and a family that will love him unconditionally. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I had Cocoa for over a year and it broke my heart when I had to leave her at her new home. But the good girl that she walked right up to her new owner and was extremely excited. It hurt me most leaving as I can hear her crying. I know she is in better hands now and the owner also told me I am able to see her anytime. She was one of the best things that happened to me and she will never be replaced. Thank you for the help finding her a good home, Rescue Me!

Brandy is a sweet, young, Pitbull mix who was pulled by a rescue organization in Memphis, Tennessee from a high kill shelter there. She was brought to Colorado on the Hope for Paws transport and kept in a foster home for several weeks. Yesterday, she was adopted by a couple in the Denver area who described her as 'perfect' and a 'Velcro dog' because she stays so close to the members of her new family and seems so happy. Brandy found her forever home! Thank you, Rescue Me!

She's got a huge heart, giant personality, boundless energy, and is smart as a whip all of which far outweigh her mischievous puppy antics early on and running tab, even those were hard to keep a straight face over.      I had almost given up on finding Chewy a furever home. We found Chewy wandering the streets downtown lost and afraid. After putting things in the paper, going to all local vets to see if anyone recognized him and $500 in shots and wellness trips, we still had no home for Chewy. I couldn't keep him due to my job. We put his profile on here, but no takers until one day out of the blue a young woman contacted me wanting to possibly take Chewy. After checking her vet references and talking with her, we agreed to take Chewy on a three hour trip to see his new home. She was perfect for him and from the texts and pictures, my Chewy was meant for his new mom. Thanks to Rescue Me, my Chewy is living the dream being loved and spoiled rotten!!

A couple came in to visit the shelter. The first dog they went to was Gigi. Having lost their own elderly Pitbull to old age, the pain was still new, but they told us they were looking to find a new companion. After spending a bit of time with her, I could tell they were in love and asked to adopt her. Everyone at the shelter was thrilled to see Gigi find a home and it could not have been to a better family! Thank you, Rescue Me!

i looked up several organizations to post Zeus when I realized he would need a new home because he did not get along with one of his doggy housemates. I was very concerned that Zeus finds a loving home, but I did not want to forego a screening process in order to place him quickly. To my pleasant surprise, I started receiving inquiries about Zeus very shortly after posting him on Rescue Me. Not all of them seemed serious about having Zeus as a family pet, but enough were that I was encouraged that he would find a caring home. I did request that interested persons complete a simple information form with basic info such as whether they had other dogs and a vet, etc.. This made it easier for me to concentrate on people who were willing to put some effort into finding the right match for their family. I eventually placed him with a person who was very interested in providing him a happy home and who was determined to make the adoption a success by hiring a trainer to help him acclimate to his new surroundings. So far so good. It has been four weeks, and the last message from the new owner was that he was settling in nicely. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I had been looking for a home for my Vinnie, Pit Bull. My daughter and I moved in to help my elderly parents while they are dealing with cancer, early Alzheimer's and limited eyesight, along with balance issues, and I work full time and was having surgery myself. After six months of looking to find him a good and loving home by various means, I was told about your site. It is not easy finding a good home for my baby. He's a 70 pound, happy lap dog with a small dog as a best friend. He deserved better than we were able to provide. After only a few weeks, Katie messaged me. She and her father fell in love and Vinnie now is in a happy new loving (spoiled) home. She sends pictures of how well he is adjusting and it makes me so happy. Thank you, Rescue Me. It got my baby the home and family he deserves. Sincerely, Keri

Bandit was having a hard time living in the kennels. He is young and has a lot of energy. We were trying to get him out to run around more than normal and had him in the back building where it is generally more quiet. Then a young man walked into our office on a day we were closed and close to the time for all the staff to leave for the day saying he was looking for a dog. I asked the young man what kind of dog he wanted and he said a dog to be his best friend. I asked what he did most of the time and he said he ran marathons and hiked a lot. I immediately told him about Bandit. The young man said that sounded like just what he wanted. Even though we were ready to leave I had a teammate bring Bandit out to meet this young man. Bandit loved him and the young man loved Bandit!! The young man lived with his father and I told him his father must come and meet Bandit as well. His father was there the next day, met Bandit and they loved each other too!!! Bandit has gone home with his IDEAL owner! Thank you, Rescue Me!

Mac had a very rough life and with his PTSD and anxiety was very hard. The absolute perfect family contacted me. Fenced in yard, older kids, and experience with troubled Pit Bulls. Unfortunately, Mac did not adjust well and ended up having a pretty severe incident. Despite it all, she fought to have him returned, got him on medication and hired an animal behaviorist. I'm happy that he was placed with her and was given yet a third chance. I feel like if it was anyone or anywhere else he would've been put to sleep. Now he can finally live out his days being loved and getting the extra care he needed. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Saturday night, a man named Dave contacted me interested in Joni. He had another Pit who passed away in his arms six months ago who looked almost exactly like Joni. His heart, and that of his family, had been hurting a lot since the passing of his old Pit. I had another person interested in Joni, but the more I heard Dave's story, the more I felt that he was meant to have her. I emailed him on Sunday to ask him if he wanted to meet her, and he and his wife drove all the way from Lexington. When he came in the house, Joni took right to him, covering him with kisses. I could see in his eyes that Joni was going home with him. I could not be more thankful that this precious girl is going to a home where she will be so loved. Thanks, Rescue Me!

I wanted to take a minute to share our story with you all. And for anyone looking for a home for their dog or is looking for a dog. Last summer we lost our beloved Pitbull to cancer and from that day we had a void in our hearts. I had a friend that had a dog like ours that he couldn't keep any longer so we decided to take him in to see and in hopes it would put a smile on my children's faces. Although this dog looked like ours, it wasn't our Cocoa and for the hopes of my kids having an interest in him this didn't happen. I have used Rescue Me in the past and had good results re-homing a dog that was in a bad environment so I decided to put Gunner up on the site. It took us a few months to find the right home, but tonight we found the perfect family for him. They had the time to give him what he needed and had a teenage daughter that adored him. Although it didn't work out for him with my family, I still loved this dog and wanted the best for him. He was super sweet and playful and a ball of energy and a very lovable dog. Once the family came to meet him, he took to them right away and was chasing them around our back yard. After talking to them and seeing the same love for animals. I knew it was a good match for them and Gunner seemed at ease with them. It was hard saying goodbye to him, but I know this was the best for him and this family could give him the love and attention he needed and deserved. I wanna give a big shout out to this site to all the staff and people behind the scenes that make this possible and making stories like this realistically. I know you all put a lot of time and effort into this and not just people appreciate it, but the dogs that get a forever home do too. You guys are awesome and thank you for giving us a place to find great families like I did! -F. Bohanan

Wow! After I found this starving fellow on the side of the road Sunday, and we had never fostered before, I panicked. After feeding him and getting him a pillow to sleep on, I googled 'what to do with a lost Pitbull' and a top hit was Rescue Me! I had never heard of it before, and frankly was wary, given all the shady stories around Pitbulls. We took a quick picture with our phone, uploaded it and within a few hours heard from 'Robert'. We were wary, but he and his wife were both on the phone, and described their situation. Sounded too good to be true. We agreed to meet on Tuesday about 60 miles away. After taking the dog to the vet, getting his shots, buying a crate and heater, going for a long walk in the woods where he obeyed the commands, our standards for the dog's new home was getting higher by the hour. Nonetheless, we met with Robert and his family, including another, very 'healthy' Pitbull. It felt safe and right, so we handed our new baby over, with a heavy heart. While we are now wondering if we need to get a dog sooner than later, we are absolutely thrilled with the Rescue Me website. Hope your luck was as good as ours! -Ann

I found Missy on Rescue Me a couple weeks ago and had contacted her owners right away. They were very informative and kind and we set up a trial weekend, which ended up being permanent. My boys fell in love with her instantly and she fits right in. It was as if she made our home complete. She is well behaved and kind, listens and follows directions. We love her completely and happy we found her on this site. Thank you.

Thank you Rescue Me for allowing me to post Telly. She found her a furever home Wednesday! A very loving retired couple fell in love with her at first sight. After just a few moments, she warmed right up to them. She will never be alone and will get to travel with them wherever they go. She will be spoiled more than she already is. Thank you!

What a wonderful experience using Rescue Me turned out to be! Thank you! This is the first animal I posted. Within 24 hours, I had people contacting me to adopt this beautiful young Pit. Blueboy found a home with a wonderful family. He even has a little sister named Ziva. She is a Diva! He has a fenced in back yard to run and play. He will be inside whenever he feels like it and is even allowed to sleep on the couch or any lap that he deems fit for the moment. Rescue Me reaches so many people. It is wonderful!

Tank found his forever home thanks to Rescue Me! We have been fostering this sweet boy for four months. We've been looking for his forever home through word of mouth, groomers, vets and Facebook. Everyone thinks he's a great looking guy, but none was his forever home. Then we found Rescue Me and had two emails the first day. We couldn't believe it. One of them turned out to be a nice young man, an electrician from Hawaii, who grew up with Pits. Tank loved him immediately and tried to follow him after his first visit! Today he went home with his new owner and was happy as could be. Tank's story is unfortunately a common one for Pitbulls in this area. Our shelter is overrun with the breed. His owner was 18 when she bought him and in her first apartment. She had to move within a few months and her new place didn't allow dogs. Her mom was kind enough to keep Tank 'temporarily' for over a year, but has since moved out of state. Grandma took him for a while, but he needed much more activity than she could offer. We enjoyed having him and he loved playing with our Rotties while he was here! We are so happy he's found his new Dad!

Marmalade was adopted by a fabulous owner, Holly. Exactly three months after she was found shivering and frail on our front door step. She has come over for a visit since and I still keep in touch with both of them. Holly sent me a gorgeous Christmas card of a very blessed dog and her forever Mom that I would be more than happy to share on your website. Thank you for everything, Rescue Me!

I am an Animal Networker to help save unwanted and possibly shelter dogs otherwise abandoned or surrender by previous owner for nothing more than for the inconvenience. I don't do it alone, we network and tag. I have a vast hard copy of files of people in many states who I reach out to. This includes transporters, rescues, fosters (need many more temporary fosters) and networks. The reason I wrote this story is to thank Rescue Me! Without this organization, Maverick, the two year old Pitbull, would have been surrendered and the family devastated. I posted here for the first time because I couldn't find a rescue that could help on such short of time. As of yesterday, Maverick has found his forever home through Rescue Me and is now living a good life in a sprawling 200 acre home. Thank you to the adopter and especially Rescue Me for saving a life worth saving and Maverick thanks you too! God bless, Chrissy

Diamond found her furever home! A wonderful family contacted me through my Rescue Me post. They had a female Pit that had been put to sleep a few months earlier (she was 10 and her health was failing). I took Diamond over to meet their cat, and she didn't react. A few days later, we surprised his wife on her birthday with a new family member! There were tears and hugs. So happy to have helped save this dog!

Kai our Blue Nose was rescued by Doggie Bonez. Kai was placed in a high kill shelter after his owner had surrendered him as a six month old puppy due to personal problems. He was repeatedly attacked by other dogs and not monitored properly. Thankfully, a volunteer at the shelter contacted Doggie Bonez, so we scooped him up. We had flyers out on him, but not too much activity. During our time with him, we learned that Kai is amazing, sweet, super smart and an adventurous boy. We found Rescue Me and put him on your site. Ten days later, he was adopted by an amazing family who adore him! Thank you so much Jeff. Doggie Bonez is thrilled to post on your website. You do so much for these pups and make it easy to post.

We loved our dog Smokey that we rescued from a kill shelter, but we could not keep him due to certain circumstances. I found this website and decided to give it a try. I posted a picture of Smokey along with a profile and received a call the same day! The owners who met up with us to take him were perfect! He fit in with the family immediately and she has been keeping me updated on his progress with her and her other dogs. He really needed a home with other energetic dogs to play with. Thank you Rescue Me!

We had a young couple who lived two hours away, come last night to meet Zeus. We talked, Zeus seemed to be at ease with them. They really like him, and we will keep in contact, to see how things are going. Already heard from them this morning. Zeus is enjoying his new family, loving the free roaming, and sleeping on the bed with them, which is one of his favorite things. This post was out for about two weeks. The first call we had was a no show, even though he called to reschedule for the next day, and still no show no contact. I believe that was a sign that it would not have been a good place. I am happy with the second call I got which was yesterday early afternoon, and they were here early evening. It felt like a good fit. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Gracie came to us about three weeks after the loss of our beloved Sugar. An eight year old Red Nose, red and white Pit Bull. We were devastated by her passing. Gracie is a beautiful, chocolate and white blue nose. She has developed an amazing personality and a lot of traits of Sugar. I believe Sugar's spirit went into her. Gracie is a playful baby. We have about a half acre fenced back yard for her to romp in romp she does. She is full of energy and life, but it's time to rest she thinks she is a five pound lap dog. She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is good with anyone that comes around. She wants them to play with her. She is truly an amazing dog, and I don't know what I'd do without her. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Italy was adopted today by a man who I know loves dogs and will treat her great. She also has the chance to grow up with a Pitt Bull, and I'm really happy for the life Italy is about to have. She bonded so well with them and they just loved her. I'm looking forward to pictures in the future of how well Italy is doing. This is my last picture of her, but I'm at peace knowing she will have an amazing life. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I am very thank full of this site. I posted my dog, Zenna, on here for a new home. I only had about a week to find her a new home. Because my gate was left open, my two Pit Bulls got out. I had a choice to find one a home or have one put to sleep. It was difficult to choose. Zenna was a part of my family. I am truly grateful that she got a new home. Thank you very much, Rescue Me!

I placed my dog on Rescue Me because she didn't get along with my other dogs. I have young children and was fearful that the dogs would get in a dog fight. I got an email from someone asking if I still had my dog. I called them and we talked about my dog, the next day I took my dog to meet the family. The family liked my dog, but wanted to think about it for a couple of days. Two days later, they said they wanted her and they came out and picked her up. We have been in contact since the dog went to them. The dog appears to be very content and happy in their home. She is getting the attention that she craves and the spoiling that she deserves. I am so glad that they found my dog on Rescue Me. Thank you.

I found an adult dog on Rescue Me that I really liked named Crystal and Rescue Me set up a meeting. Bridget (the foster mom) brought along a puppy pal so Crystal would come out of her shell a bit. She had been rescued from a very, very bad situation and had been seriously abused. I kept them both for one night, but Crystals past scared me a bit, I was scared something would trigger her and she would bite my daughter. Now don't get me wrong Crystal bonded with my daughter in the one day she was here, wouldn't let anyone else just walk up to pet her except my five year old. Crystal is a sweet, sweet dog and I hope with all my heart that someone has given her a forever home and all the patients and love she deserves. So I took Crystal back to her foster mommy, but I kept the puppy pal which we named Loki. He turned out to be everything I was looking for in a pooch. He loves going for long walks and going bye bye. Thank you, Rescue Me, for my and my daughters new little buddy.

Rescue Me is a wonderful site. We are just starting out as a rescue and this site is the ONLY one that was willing to immediately post our dogs for adoption without us being 501c3 approved or with a vet reference. All of that takes time and we were scared we would be holding on to our dogs for a very long time waiting for those things to come through. Luckily, Rescue Me still posted our dogs and we have already found a great home for one and a potential for a second! You guys are saving lives and we are thrilled that Wayward Ranch Animal Sanctuary can work alongside you!

I had a beautiful Chocolate Pit Bull show up at my home. He was a very scared, little guy, and would not come up to my husband or myself for hours. We fed him and gave him treats, and finally he allowed us to pet him. He was so excited. We combed the neighborhood for any owner or idea who he might belong to and with no luck. We assumed he had been dumped. We know by his demeanor that he was abused and had cigarette burns on his hip. I posted on Rescue Me, and also had a friend put us in contact with someone that places rescues. I fell in love with this little guy, but having too many animals already, knew I was unable to keep him. There was no way I was going to call animal control to pick him up, nor would I have ever taken him there. I decided that it would be easier to place him if he were neutered and had shots, so I took him to my vet. I trust them. He was neutered and got his shots on Friday. On the following Monday, I returned a call for an inquiry and I sent her some more pictures and gave her the history of what had happened so far. The couple loved his pictures and said they would like to have him. I told them I would bring him to them and meet them and see the home right then if they wanted. Two and a half hours later, 'Little Guy' found his new home with the most amazing couple. When she opened her door, I almost burst into tears. She is absolutely precious and so is her fiance. He is a Marine and she is in the process of looking for employment. She has decided she is putting employment on hold for a few months to work with 'Little Guy'... Love it! She is sending me pictures and text messages of how he is doing. They are absolutely in love with him. I thank God they gave this little guy a chance. Thank you, Rescue Me, for being there. What an amazing organization. Thanks again for all you do.

I posted Jade on here. She needed a new home sooner than later. I have had a hard time keeping her in the fence due to a storm drain, keeping me from extending my fence. She was in danger of my neighbors as they threatened to steal her if she got out again. Jade needed a new home quickly. I received a message from someone that wanted to adopt her. I met them and they met Jade and took her home. Jade is having such a great time. As we were saddened to have to send her away, she needed a better quality of life. I am very thankful that people like this exist as she is going to have a much better home!!! Special thanks to Rescue Me in helping me find her the perfect home!!! We get pictures and information from the adoptive family regularly as they said staying in touch was not a problem. I couldn't be happier!!!

Brownie has been a sweet heart just waiting for a new home. A young family came and took him home to be a playmate for their seven year old Pit Bull. When they arrived with their children, Brownie was so excited to see their little girl. He loved her. It was a great evening, and when they left it was sad, but it had a happy ending. Thanks for your site. Rescue Me was the one that led to the adoption.

I am so glad this site worked for finding Apollo a home. He was abandoned in my home. I love animals, but due to lack of being home from long work hours I hate to leave them alone. I wanted to adopt him out rather than tossing him in the street or taking him to the pound. Rescue Me was in the right place and help me find Apollo a new home within a week. I hope his buddy Prince is soon adopted as well. Prince lost his friend and feeling lonely. Thanks!

Emmett, the blue-nosed Pit Bull, was found at a swap meet where his owner was looking for someone to take him. A good friend of ours could not walk past the emaciated puppy, so he took Emmett home. A trip to the vet showed that Emmett was full of worms, so he was de-wormed and received his first set of vaccinations. After his second set of puppy vaccinations, his new owner was suddenly evicted when his landlord sold the house right out from under him. We took in the owner, and Emmett, too. After some reflection, the owner decided that he just couldn't give Emmett the life he deserved with all the stress and upheaval in his life and he asked me to find him a home. We posted Emmett on social media and Rescue Me. We tried our best to fatten him up because he was so so so skinny. We worked on his potty training and his commands. We found that Emmett was a sweet tempered, intelligent puppy, and he got along great with the other dogs in the house - all four of them! He quickly learned to use the doggy door and tried so hard to keep up with the big dogs. We fell in love, but there was no way we could keep him. We live in an area that has outlawed Pit Bulls. Then we got the message... A family wanted to adopt Emmett. We made arrangements to introduce Emmett to the family while we checked out the yard, the house, their attitudes, etc. When we showed up, we found four little girls waiting for Emmett. The mom and the dad are awesome people who obviously love dogs. They had lost their Pit last May, after loving her for 12 years. They finally felt ready to adopt again. We all went out to the backyard and Emmett was smothered with love and hugs and kisses and he was just eating it up. He peed and the girls all acted as if he had just won the Nobel Prize. The girls fed him and argued over who would get to sleep with him. My husband and I just looked at each other. We knew, as much as we would miss him, that Emmett had come home.
