     Yes Spiro was adopted. I work at a vet with a shelter attached and thats where I met this beautiful Blue Pitt. He was to be euthanized on the 7th of Sept. I came across your site and immedietly listed him. He was the sweetest most loving dog I have ever come across and knew he did not deserve to die just because of the bad reputation these dogs get. I received a response from a man 7 hours away in his late 50's or so that works for Proctor and Gamble. After several long emails and phone calls, the man and his wife drove over 7 hours to get him. They got him 12 1/2 hours before he was to be euthanized and his wife wanted to name him 12/ 1/2. But husband wants to name him Miracle. They fell in love with him and I have to say, This dog is going to have a life that he never dreamed of but only deserves. They are the perfect match! Their dog diedthe week prior from cancer and they wanted to help a dog that was in true need because they could not help their dog at the end. It was love at first site for all! I cannot thank you enough for this site! It saved a life and offered a second chance with a wonder man and wife that can offer him and will give him the world. I received 3 calls that evening for Spiro that had seen him on your site. Your site works! keep up the great work! You are saving innocent lives! Michelle

     Jeff, I did find a home for little Petey. Who turns out to be an American Bull Terrier and not a Pit, but I did not figure this out until recently. He will be living with a lady who lives in a very rural area buy herself. I wish I could have kept him myself, for a very social, intelligent happy pup is he! I placed a mixed breed Brindle colored female with the same person earlier in the fall. So the dogs have each others company and the lady has theirs. Thanks for your service.

     Yes, we were able to find a new home for Dudley because of Rescue Me. I found Rescue Me very easy to use. I loved how thorough the questions were when describing the animal. Once I posted the animal's info it was displayed in a way that was clear and unmuddled. The ad didn't seem to get lost in a sea of junk (like CraigsList or Petfinder). It's wonderful to have a free, user-friendly website to advertise adoptable animals. Anna

     I had no idea that so many people looked on the website, as soon as I put David & Gideon's profile up I was swamped with emails. My husband and I were in no real rush to give them up so we did take our time to find a good fit. After maybe a month or so we clicked with a really good family and we can see them when ever we choose to come by which is great just to make sure that they are being taken care of at the high level we had them in before. I rescued him afrom Massilon Ohio and took him to Akron Ohio and the gentleman that adopted him was from Cambridge Ohio.      Hi, Jeff -- My Olive was indeed adopted by what seems to be the absolute perfect family for her! I feel so very fortunate to have found someone that instantly loved her and a place where she was obviously so at home. Thank you so much for the work you do. There are some really horrible pit bull stories out there. In fact, someone called me to ask for help with a Pit in Northern New Mexico last week. The caller had gotten my number from what he thought was the Humane Society... His story was all too familiar...A dog bred to fight, abandoned on his rental property, tied up and left to starve.      Update! Brad the brindle pit mix, was adopted by a young man who knows pits and loves him. Prior to meeting this God-send, I told my sister-who accompanied me on the delivery trip-if he says Brad is beautiful and hugs him, then I will say it's a sign. Pulling up in his drive, taking Brad out of the truck, the first words out of Mr. Dakota's mouth were' man he's beautiful!", and he came over and started petting and playing with Brad. Brad walked off with him with no hesitation. And he walked into his house without looking back. Got a few texts saying Brad is "an amazing dog-I love him."..."he's the best dog I've ever had"..."he loves my cali-king bed!" I know Brad will be forever well cared for and loved.      Belle has found a new home! We (including Belle) believe we could not have been more fortunate finding her the home we did. Prior to meeting them, we not only had apprehensions and concerns about finding just the right home but also about letting her go. We arranged an initial 'meet & greet' so her new family could see how their other dogs and Belle would interact. Her new family fell in love with her immediately and decided to take her home the same day. It was very hard to give her up but her new family were obvious animal lovers and they made us feel a lot more at ease and comfortable in doing so and we feel we could not have found a better home.      Jeff- we found a great family for Kilo! Vet references, two kids, and parents who were committed to insuring that their children would respect him. I very much appreciate the help your site provided as I was simply not comfortable putting such a young (therefore unneutered) purebred pit male on another site like craigslist where he could fall victim to someone who does not have good intentions.      Yes Precious found a forever home. The posting of Precious using RecueMe.org was easy and it worked out great. After posting Precious online, I received an email from a person living in Tucson. She wanted to meet her and a connection was made. If it wasn't for RescueMe.org I don't know what I would have done with her. She now will be living in air conditioned home with a backyard, never have to spend freezing nights outside again and try and endure the extreme heat again. Thanks again and I would recommend RescueMe.org anytime.

     Jeff, My daughter & I have taken in a lot of dogs & cats over the years. We have 2 pit bulls of our own, so we use an extra apartment upstairs to house dogs that are thrown away, dropped, abused, etc. We fatten them up, make the treks to the vet for shots & spays & neuters, worm them, socialize them, take them everywhere to get them exposed to new things & take some to Obedience training. It has been hard, but so worth it. Your site gives a whole lot of animals a lot of extra exposure to a lot of families looking to adopt. I just did a donation, I wish it were more.      We did adopt general on Friday the 29th after only 4 days. I had a very good experience with RescueMe.org . I received a text on the 30th from Centreville,.Va. Where General now resides. The person who adopted him came all the way 2 hours to meet and greet. He filled out our adoption papers to our satisfaction and General left for his new home that afternoon.      Jeff, I am happy to inform you that Blake was adopted today. I want to thank you for this wonderful tool/website that helped me place our precious puppy in a permanent loving home....Shortly after having posted Blakes picture and his story we recieved an email from a family who could provide everything we were looking for - everything Blake deserved. I would like to encourage everybody to use this site for their pet search or posting. It was difficult parting from our puppy but I was comforted in knowing that he was going home with a family very much like our own and that they where able to provide a similar enviroment which he was accousted to having. By taking the time to carefully write exactly what type of home we were looking we were able to find the perfect match for him. I am so greatful for the animal lovers out there who choose to adopt vs. purchasing/supporting "puppy mills". In the future; when my family is ready to take on another pet we will adopt as well.      Thank you so much for RescueMe! Rosie was an abused pit that I got away from someone who had her chained to the back of a house. She was starving and had worms, but was amazingly friendly even though she had been through so much. I was able to get her to the vet and cleaned up, but was unable to care for another dog. My options were to find a new home or take her to the pound where I am almost sure she would have been killed. With your help getting the word out, she now has a new owner who is as thrilled to have her as I am that she found a home. Thank you! Jeff

     Charlie was adopted yesterday. Charlie has been on petfinder.com since November 2010, and we took him into foster care in March 2011. In June/July, we decided to post him on Rescueme.org and we got an email from someone who saw him and was interested. Charlie left happily for his home, it was a bittersweet moment.
