It's heartbreaking, but it's not impossible! I miss my Nayla very much, but it makes me happy she is in a better place.      We rescued sweet Gracie from a dreadful situation. We were able to get her the life saving surgery she needed. She is a wonderful pup with the most loving personality, but she just didn't do well with our animals. Gracie was better suited for a house with no other pets. We were having a hard time finding someone that would fit those needs. Then we found Rescue Me shortly after posting we got a few responses but they weren't right. Then it went quite for awhile and then an email from what sounded like the perfect home. After speaking with her new owner my worries eased. There was good communication and honesty from both parties. Upon meeting the bond was built and Gracie went to a loving home where she would be the queen of the couch and get all the attention to herself. Her new owner is giving Gracie the life she deserves. Spoiling her rotten and training her too. Rescue Me was wonderful and thank you.

     Petey showed up at our house after following my son home while he was on a run in our neighborhood. We have two smaller dogs and a cat, and having a pit bull show up at our house (or be in our neighborhood) is unusual. It was apparent right away that Petey was a good dog and was either lost or dropped in our neighborhood by someone who couldn't afford to take proper care of him. We did the usual get the word out locally in case he was a lost dog. Petey basically lived in our garage. It was kept open, but he decided our house was OK. As sweet a dog as he was, we couldn't keep him. I called the usual suspects in town to find a new home with no luck. After a week, I took him to the vet to get shots so I knew where he stood in that regard. At the two week point, I started thinking we may be keeping him, but decided I needed to go outside of my town and state. That's when I posted Petey on multiple dog rescue sites. As I recall, Rescue Me was the only site we got responses from. The first response was a dud. The second was a nice couple that drove over an hour to visit Petey. They all hit it off when they loaded him into their car, he did as he had always done with me...hopped into this rightful place in the front passenger seat, ready to go. Thanks Rescue Me for a nice end to our story!

     WOW! What an experience! When the new owners arrived... It was like Tinsil knew them forever (because she is friendly with everybody and every animal). She greeted them with LOVE by wrapping her paws around them both with lot's of licks!! They also brought their older dog with them so we could see how they would respond and like with them... They hit it off!! We gave her a bath that morning (she's been living in the mountains and was needing another bath). Ha!! We didn't want them to deal with that ordeal in-place of getting to know each other first... And we didn't want to create additional trauma as they were just getting acquainted! We corresponded back and forth for sometime before they made the three hour trip to our place with the intent of taking her home. When I asked if anything negative happens in their lives, what would happen to Tinsil, they said, 'Don't worry, she will be us forever!' That literally 'cinched' it for us! We were looking for a younger couple. Tinsil is young and nearly wore us out on walks. This young couple is very young and just LOVED on her for the entire time they were here and promised us they would keep in touch with photo's as she progress's through life!! We gave them a list of priorities that she would need asap and they will fulfill these needs within a week!! True to their word, they sent pictures of her new surroundings and because they are young, they hike a lot. We made a GREAT choice and feel very thankful that through 'Rescue Me' we were able to find Tinsil's forever home! We will pass this website onto other's in need... THANK YOU for being here for those of us who want to provide the best for a dog in need!!

     Kobi was adopted by a wonderful family with four children and an older dogo sister. He goes on runs in the park everyday, cuddles with his new human and dogo family and has claimed the couch as his own with his dogo sister. He has a new outfit and toys and loves being around people all the time and getting lots of exercise. He is getting to be a big boy. This adoption was truly a miracle. To place a pit bull in a loving family with the time, resources, and love to give is very, very difficult. Its hard to weed out people who want to mistreat Pit bulls. Kobi has become his best self in this new perfect setting with this loving family of angels. Thank you to Jeff Gold for creating Rescue Me. I am just shocked and so very thankful that Kobi found such a supportive home with the nicest possible family.

     Winnie was posted on Rescue Me... A super wonderful dog; she got a few hits. She was one of three putties on the site. After contacting me to express interest, and sharing pics and stories, I drove to their home to check it out and check them out and see if there was chemistry, the mom had her picture as a screensaver already. I have (gratefully) received several pics and updates. She is settling in I just as I thought she would. 'She was exactly as I described' which was very appreciated. I believe in FULL disclosure so there are no surprises that might cause concern or a return. She has found an ideal home with her own people and gets to be their number one. So happy for her.      I Picked up 'Brown Baby' aka 'Baby Girl' a little over a month ago and had absolutely no experience with Pit Bulls. I originally thought she was deaf and couldn't leave her on the streets thinking about how vulnerable she'd be. As it turns out she is not deaf and it was obvious she had been a puppy making machine for the five years of her life. Within two weeks, that was rectified. She is a wonderfully sweet girl and put to rest the myth concerning Pit Bulls. I posted her shortly after surgery and got a few calls but one call in particular struck me as special. I live in Arkansas and he and his fiance live in Louisiana so we agreed to meet at a halfway point for both of us. I knew the instant we met, Baby was meant for this couple. They informed me she already has her own recliner, I can't top that! We visited for awhile, they got to know Baby, we hugged each other and off they drove with their precious cargo. I was already a faded memory by the time they were out of site which makes me very happy. Fate is a funny thing, I drove home a different way that afternoon, Baby refused to get out of the road, and this couple had been searching for just the right addition to their household. They found it in 'Baby Girl ' and I weep a little this evening in happiness for me, that very special couple, and of course Baby Girl. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I actually put Sadie on Rescue Me. Our grandson brought her home as a stray. We live in a subdivision and have a leash law. Even with a fenced in backyard, she managed to dig her way out every day. The neighbors were not happy about that. She was also pregnant and had four beautiful puppies. It turns out she is the sweetest dog and very good indoors for being a stray. The only problem we had was chewing shoes and nerf bullets! We also have a farm and have trouble with coyotes. My husband realized she could be a big help if she didn't chase cattle. She will be spayed this week and when she is healed up will be a farm dog with plenty of land to run. Hopefully she won't chase the calves, but with some training I think she will do great. I never knew Pits were such sweet dogs!!

     I have been looking for a friend. Thanks to Rescue Me, I found Reagan. I was browsing dogs. Trying to find the right one for me. Rescue Me makes it easy and fast. I couldn't be happier. Reagan is doing very well, I brought her home and now she can't stop laying on me. She is a good dog, very protective of me. I just want to thank Rescue Me and the lady I got Reagan from. Without them, I would have never met my best friend. Reagan couldn't be happier, really, it's true. Every time I leave the house and come back, she acts like I've been gone for weeks, months, maybe even years. When I walk through the door, she just gets so excited.      We were so happy when Jenni returned our call about Addie just a few minutes after we inquired about her. Jenni was very helpful and described Addie's situation, needs, and temperament. She sent several more pictures as well. She asked to meet our dog (a pitbull/red Doberman mix) and a couple of hours after the introductions were made, Addie had a new home. She is such a beautiful and sweet tempered dog. Very well behaved, gentle and loves to kiss and play. Jenni wanted to make sure she would go to a good home, and checked on her later in the evening.      After my local pound refused to take our sweet little man because it is too hard for them to rehome. I decided to post him on here. I am glad I did. In about a week I was contacted by a young man about Bruno. After talking to his references and meeting him and his friends Bruno went home with him. They are planning on updating me with pictures for at least a little while. Thanks to Rescue Me when no one else would help.

     I was looking for a home for my Blue Nose Pitbull, Mazy. I posted her on this site and someone came out to see her. A veteran was looking for a new service dog. She chose him right away. Once he got her, she refused to leave. She had chosen her spot in his life and I believe it was the best choice for her. I couldn't have done it without this website. She left with a big smile on her face, eager to go check out her new home.

     My husband and I have thought about getting another dog for our current Pit Bull, Bella. We thought she might like a friend. We have had Bella about four years and our daughter ran into Myles. She texted me a picture and begged me to adopt him. Nobody wants a three-legged dog, right? We had Bella visit him and they really got along to my surprise. We fell in love with him too, so my husband and I laughed and said it looks like we are getting another dog! Myles has been a great addition to our family and we love him so much! He is very special.      Posting Tyson was one of the most painful decisions that I had to make. I posted him last week and got a call a day later. The new owner came to my home and fell in love with Tyson the minute she saw him and it was painful to see him go.      Brandy is a sweet, young, Pitbull mix who was pulled by a rescue organization in Memphis, Tennessee from a high kill shelter there. She was brought to Colorado on the Hope for Paws transport and kept in a foster home for several weeks. Yesterday, she was adopted by a couple in the Denver area who described her as 'perfect' and a 'Velcro dog' because she stays so close to the members of her new family and seems so happy. Brandy found her forever home! Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I had almost given up on finding Chewy a furever home. We found Chewy wandering the streets downtown lost and afraid. After putting things in the paper, going to all local vets to see if anyone recognized him and $500 in shots and wellness trips, we still had no home for Chewy. I couldn't keep him due to my job. We put his profile on here, but no takers until one day out of the blue a young woman contacted me wanting to possibly take Chewy. After checking her vet references and talking with her, we agreed to take Chewy on a three hour trip to see his new home. She was perfect for him and from the texts and pictures, my Chewy was meant for his new mom. Thanks to Rescue Me, my Chewy is living the dream being loved and spoiled rotten!!
