I am extremely satisfied with Rescue Me. I saved this poor puppy today and within hours of posting here, I received several calls and found an excellent family for her in Nashville. This is truly a useful and remarkable site to adopt an animal. I love pit bulls and would do anything to make sure that people understand pits more as a family, loving and loyal breed. This puppy deserved a chance to live and thanks to your site she will live a long and happy life in a loving home in the best and most beautiful state on earth!

Poor Satchel waited and waited as others got adopted at his former rescue. We listed him on Rescue Me and he found his perfect, forever home. Satchel was a victim of the east coast hurricane that almost wiped the eastern seaboard off the map. With his home and his family gone Satchel had given up hope till he was found locked in the garage of what was left of his family home. Moved to NYC, the poor boy looked and looked for his family. They never came. As the days came and went, so did Satchels hope of finding his family. We come upon him at his former rescue and fell head over heals for this big lover. We took him home to the country and he fell in love, But living in a foster home was not the same as his own. Satchel watched as others came into the rescue and left without so much as a look. We found Rescue Me and started using it simple and so easy to navigate. A family contacted us and the rest is rescue history. Satchel is in love with his new family and doing so well. Thank you Rescue Me for helping us find the perfect family for our hunk of love Satchel. Much love the unchained love gang.

I want to thank Jeff Gold and Rescue Me for the great work that they do in helping to find animals (especially Pit Bulls) a home. My Pit Bull, King, was adopted by a young college student who decided he needed to have man's best friend sharing the college experience with him. This worked out perfectly for King, my family, and me. I wanted to make sure that King had a home with someone who had as much energy as he does. Thank you!

California was left with us by someone who didn't take very good care of her but we couldn't keep her due to our living situation. Our Cali girl was adopted by a lovely couple with two kids and another pit bull. I have received updates and pictures and she is adjusting very well to her new home. We couldn't be happier that she finally found a permanent home.

We posted Montana's photo and information on Tuesday, and the following day I got two responses. I went with the lady that I spoke with, she sounded very sincere and capable of giving Montana the life that we can't provide for her at this time. I'm confident that she'll love her new home. I'm so happy that I found Rescue Me! I will make a future donation and will definitely tell others about adopting a pet that needs a good home. Thank you so much again!

Most people that are pit bull owners know what it feels like to have their dog discriminated against because of its breed. But also get the benefit of having one of the most loyal dogs that was ever made! Jackson is one of the best! I was told after a year and a half of being at my apartment I was no longer allowed to keep Jackson because he was considered a pitbull breed. Just packing up and moving was easier said than done. I just started Paiton in kindergarten, I didn't have the finances to move right away and they gave me a deadline. I looked for months to find him a new place to go and then heard about the website Rescue Me! By far the best thing could have happened to my family at this specific time in need. I couldn't believe how easy and quick it was within 3 days I had several people asking about Jackson, on the 5th day I had a family coming to see him for the first time, on the 7th day said our good byes. I took Jackson to his new home. A wonderful family of four that also had another dog! Jacks couldn't be happier! Thanks so much to his new Family! *Jackson we love you so much* Most of all thank you Jeff, words couldn't express what you have done for more than just me by creating Rescue Me!

Within hours of posting Reece on Rescue Me!, I received an email inquiring about him. We met two days later. I could not have found a more loving, caring home for my dog! The woman that responded to my post was just as much an animal lover as I! They seemed to be off to a great start before I even left him at his new home. His new family made the transition as easy on him as possible. As soon as I met her I knew she was the right fit for Reece. There is now a bond between two families that is very special! We will continue to communicate and she is even going to send pictures as he grows. A very positive experience! I would recommend this website to anyone who needs to find a home for their pit! Thank you so much!

I was saddened to find Rosco had been chained around the neck so tight that he could hardly breath! I was very glad that I was able to rescue him, and he jumped right into the car. He now runs on a fenced half an acre with my other pit, and sleeps in the house. Because he was not worked with before, we are now working on manners, house breaking and the basics. He is eager to please. I can't wait for the head halter and lead that I ordered to arrive so we can work on walking.

Chopper and his 'sissie' have gone to a wonderful family about an hour away. They are now living on a 20-acre horse ranch and are thoroughly enjoying it. I miss them but their new family is keeping in contact with me about their adventures. Thanks so much to Rescue Me! I was so afraid I was going to have to take them to the shelter. Chopper had been through a hard life before I got him. He was used as a bait dog in fights at only 10-weeks old. So you could imagine how bad it was before we got him. My husband died last August and I'm having to move. I couldn't take him or his 'sissie' but Rescue Me! was there, not only for them but for me as well. I would have felt so guilty if I would've had to take them to the shelter but now I feel they both got the home they deserve. Thank you Rescue Me! and thank you Chopper and Karma's new family.

I rescued Boss from a garage that he had been abandoned in for close to a week. He had no food, water, not even a blanket to keep him warm. A friend that knew the previous owner of Boss, told me they had moved from the house to Ohio four or five days earlier and they said they were coming back the next day for him. After a few days this friend was walking by and heard the dog's screams, and him frantically pawing and scratching at the door. Knowing how I am about animals, my friend let me know the situation. I contacted the police. I was told that there was nothing they could do. I explained that I was going after the dog, and, that if they got a call that some girl was trespassing at the abandoned house next door, that it would probably be me. I looked into the house to make sure I wasn't stealing someone's dog, it was obviously abandoned. I got a piece of metal twisted into the lock and opened the door not knowing what to expect. Boss, shied away. I extended my hand to him and spoke quietly and let him know that I loved dogs and I was just there to help him. He looked me over and smelled my hand, then just came into my arms. I hugged him for a minute. It was so cold! I placed a leash on his collar, and led him to the car. I opened the door and tail wagging, he jumped inside to meet my 12-year old daughter, Kayla. He greeted her by smelling her hair and a big wet kiss. I dried the snow off him and he laid on her lap. The roads were bad so what normally took us 15 to 20 minutes took us 45-50 minutes, and Boss got up occasionally to check the roads and give me a kiss. Then laid back on Kayla's lap. Got him home, made sure he didn't look like he needed any immediate medical attention. No sores, clear skin except a little dandruff. His weight was low though. His ribs were very visible. I checked the his skin to see if he was overly dehydrated, looked at his teeth and couldn't believe how truly beautiful this guy was. I started him eating food and making sure he had plenty of water at all times. He came into our home and made it his, and was so happy that sometimes he looked as if he was smiling. He has the most innocent and just funny, personality. You could not help but fall in love with him. I am not in a situation where I can't keep another dog. I am a pit bull mommy already, as well as a pom-poo mommy. Not to mention the cat and two lizards. I had to find this good guy a home and fast. I refused the thought of the 'Humane Society' as I know the horror stories. After screening quite a few calls... The person on the the other end had suffered the tragic loss of her beloved pit. I could feel her pain because I know that pain. We instantly hit it off. Everything about her and her family was perfect for Boss. Boss went home tonight. There were many tears. My daughter and I took plenty of pictures. Gave him plenty of hugs, and got to share in the laughter of his silliness, just one more time. I am grateful for Loretta and Steven and their family. He deserves such wonderful people as you, and you him. Many, many blessings. I know he will enrich your lives, as much as you will enrich his. Thank you for making such a good dog, a loved and safe dog. Many years of happiness, love and laughter to you all.

We adopted a beautiful Pitt puppy 'Natty' that we found on Rescue Me! We were initially going to purchase when we came upon this site and saw how many puppies there were out there that needed forever homes. It broke our heart. God bless you for creating this wonderful site! It was super easy and knowing things about her nature helped in determining she was going to be a perfect fit for our family! We are so in love with our new furbaby! I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a wonderful addition to their family.

I tried several shelters and places to place a found puppy but everyone was full or wouldn't take strays. The pit bull rescue site I tried kept bouncing back emails. Then our high school senior daughter was invited to a party where guests were asked to donate to Rescue Me!, instead of gifts. I posted here and began receiving calls in just two days. There were several interested people and we were able to choose the new home and the owners we felt would be the best fit. She found a new home just days before Christmas! It feels good to have saved a little puppy and know what happened to her. They even sent us a picture of her snuggled on the couch! Thanks, Rescue Me!

As much as we loved Thor and wanted to keep him, we found out our triplet boys were allergic to dogs. We contacted rescue groups and shelters to see if they would accept an American Pit Bull Terrier and none could take him in. Then we posted Thor on Rescue Me!, and after one week, we received two responses. We were happy to find a good home for Thor. This site is amazing and we have only good things to say from this site.      Rusty found his forever home through this site! Rusty had a hard life he had been placed in three homes and with nothing to do with him, each and every family had a emergency come up and couldn't keep him because they had to move. Finally we placed him on Rescue Me! in hopes that someone looking for a dog just like Rusty would come along and BOY DID THEY! The family that adopted Rusty had just lost their pit bull mix weeks earlier and they wanted to honor their dog by rescuing another pit bull. They thought this site was the perfect way to ensure that. They lived an hour away from us and saw the beautiful pictures of Rusty. He melted their heart right away. They came to our house and we hung out for an hour. They shared pictures of the dog they just lost, pictures of their home and they had the whole family there to meet Rusty and make sure he was the right fit. We had met over four other families and none were just right, but in a moment we knew that this was it and Rusty knew they were the perfect fit, right away! He gave them kisses and when it came time to get in the car he ran towards it, jumping in even before we were ready! He was so happy! Rusty's forever family followed up with us a few days later, they love him and from the sounds of his past few days, he loves them, too! You could hear him in the background talking to us, telling us how wonderful it was! Thank you, Rescue Me! Thank you so much for creating our Christmas Miracle Story!

Our rescue, Adopt-A-Pet, took in four Pit Bulls, all have been adopted. The last one, Harley, found his forever home about two weeks ago. He, as well as the others were wonderful, energetic house pets. I have ten acres in the woods with a waterfall and large swimming pond. It's always a joy for me to see any dog, especially the Pits, doing what they love. Play in the water and run, and run freely, no cares in the world, just doing what is natural for them. Then I only place each one in the home that most duplicates the lifestyle they had here, doing what keeps them happy and balanced. Since Adopt-A-Pet started listing on Rescue Me!, we have adopted so many more dogs. I placed 33 from my foster home, it's amazing. Thank you, Rescue Me!, and all you pet lovers that give each animal a chance to be adopted, no mater what breed, color, age. Each one needs to be judged by their own individual merits, like people. Thank you. Linda Anthony, Director, Adopt-A-Pet

I found Albie a wonderful home! If it weren't for Rescue Me!, I don't think I would have. Not only did a great person adopt him, but she has another great Pit Bull named Princess who is now Albie's sister, and they get along great. I did a vet check with her veterinarian, and she is a very responsible pet owner who even takes Princess to the vet to get her teeth cleaned. Albie is in wonderful hands with a new loving mom and sister. Thank you, Rescue Me!, for the chance to find him this wonderful, loving home!

We found Nala on Rescue Me!, and she is the sweetest and best dog we have ever had. Her original owner needed to find a new home for her because she had moved to a smaller home, and was away from her for several hours a day. We are so lucky and love her so much, thank you!

Tink, my beautiful little girl, found a loving home and is happy. She is not in any danger any more of the landlord taking her away. I want to thank everyone who responded, and Rescue Me! for being able to offer this service. It really worked. I miss her so much! I keep bothering her owners about updates, and they have been great to let me know she is happy. Thank you everyone.

Lexy was adopted, she has a forever, loving home with people who love and understand Pit Bulls. I was glad I rescued her and found her a forever home rather than letting her go to the Humane Society for adoption. I've also researched information on Pit Bulls so I know more about them, and understand the breed a lot better. They are loving and make great pets. They just need better understanding, and a chance to prove they are not mean - they are loyal and loving like any other breed. Good luck to all who are looking for homes. Thank you again for your help.

I have been browsing Rescue Me! for months while dog-sitting a Pit Bull for a friend who is out of the country. Now that he has moved back to his permanent home, I immediately started taking a serious look at these listings. Rescue Me! helped me quickly and easily find the perfect Pit to raise in my home. Apollo is so smart, he just wants to learn how to make me happy. Thank you for providing me access to a Pit Bull in need of rescuing! I could not be happier with my new fur child.

Dear Jeff, Babe belonged to a neighbor who abused and neglected her. She was dying from a horrible case of hookworm and malnutrition, but my vet saved her life. Over the past three months she has gained almost 17 pounds and is starting to enjoy life. She is still very shy and easily frightened, although she is improving and learning what it's like to live among friendly people. We decided the best thing was to adopt her ourselves as she is still in need of lots of patience and understanding. She is the sweetest dog to behold. So, maybe not an adoption the way we had planned, but still she is in a forever home and we have the time and space for her. Thank you for your great site!

I was very nervous that there are so many crazy people out there that could potentially get my dogs. My dogs are my heart. However, we were placed in a situation where we had to rehome them. I had to post them individually so I was also nervous about separating them as well. A gentleman that was interested did not just take Max, but his sister Mocha as well. So they are together! The new owner texts us to let us know they were doing well. I miss my babies and will always love them. It is very comforting to know they are together, and they are with people that will love them as much as we do. Thanks, Rescue Me!, and thank you to Max and Mocha's adopters.

We adopted Noelle, renamed Dallas, two days after she was posted for adoption as an 'urgent'. We were looking for a pit around her age to join our other Pit, that is the same age. He was going through depression after his brother passed away in July. We have now had Dallas for 1 week. Our other Pit is back to his old self. She is a perfect for our family, she was meant to be!

Bullet, being a Pit/Lab mix puppy, is special as he reminds me of the Black Lab I once owned till he passed twelve years ago. I tried to find Bullet a bigger family/home... He was accepted by a family with three kids and two other Pit Bulls in the country, to run free as Bullet loves to do and couldn't here as we live too close to the major highway here. I am excited he now has a bigger family, kids, and other dogs to play with. Thank you, Rescue Me!, for finding my good dog a better home.

Thank you for your help in finding a new home for my awesome dog Hennessy. She was rehomed with a good family who have three kids that she can love and be loved by. She seems really happy with her new family. It was absolutely heart breaking to have to walk away from her, but I really think she will love her new home. I think that the work that you are doing for these animals is great. Hennessy truly is a wonderful dog and it is a blessing that she was given a chance to shine on. Pit bulls always have so much love and affection to give. Some people abuse and misuse them and they have such a bad reputation because of those people. Again, I thank you, and I am sure that if Hennessy could type, she would thank you, too. Keep up the good work. I know the animals appreciate it, and the people like me who need to find new homes for their fur kids appreciate it. Love and best wishes to you and all the animals that you rescue. Sincerely, Jeffrey Fields

My name is Tammy and I found my blue nose pit Roxy on Rescue Me! I had been looking for a long time to add another furbaby to our family, especially a blue. I have owned and rescued pits for 20 years and in all that time I was never able to get a blue. I had just about given up on finding one but then I joined the Rescue Me! site and it only took about a month and I finally found her. She has made herself at home with our other pittty Dozer and I couldn't be happier. Thanks, Rescue Me!, and keep up the good work you are doing.

Thank you, Rescue Me! You have raised the awareness of many people I know. I was aware that Pit Bulls had a hard time of it because of some bad owners. I could not allow my son's dog to go to the pound when I became aware the it was a death sentence of as short as six hours! Cookie is such a sweet dog that a five minute visit with my son's new landlord had him relent and allow the dog! He had no idea that pits could be so well trained.

Even before his picture was posted, I heard from Vanessa who works a short distance from my home. I pretty much gave her the 'Third Degree' before allowing her to meet him, but by the time I took him up to meet her, I was pretty convinced that she would be his new 'Mama'. It was a great fit and we are staying in touch and exchanging pictures. Thank you for Rescue Me!
