Cheyenne is almost 3 years old. I got her as a puppy with a now ex-boyfriend. Got rid of the boyfriend and kept the dog. Unfortunately Cheyenne is a bit of a handful. She is aggressive to strangers, especially men and kids. She is fine once she gets to know them, however until then she barks and scares people. I love this dog to pieces, I really do, but I work full time with a long commute and don't have the time, nor the skills to get her properly trained and socialized. She is awesome with my kids, but chases the poor old cat around the house. She is aggressive to the neighbors dogs on the other side of the fence but does great when my ... (Read More)friends come to visit with their dogs, maybe she just doesn't like my neighbor. I know my local shelter will take her and they are a no kill shelter, but I can't bear the thought of sending her to doggy jail until she finds a new home. I think that would just cause unnecessary stress for her as she is not used to being locked in a kennel and has had free roam of the house. I think she would do great in a home with another pit and with a family experienced in raising pits and dogs in general, which is not me. Riot is needing a forever home. We took him in because he lost his owner and needed a home. He gets along great with all of the animals in the house and everyone he meets. He would be a great traveling companion for a young or older couple. He loves to ride in the car, swim in the pond, hike and run and loves the companionship of someone to love. Ipon my many calls to various shelters and rescue programs i have learned that because of buddy's breed and the issues he has with cars they consider it behavioral issues and would consider him unadoptable and put him down shortly after being placed in the shelter. I am doing my best to keep him as long as possible but we are running oit of time.Buddy is very loving and compassionate. Does best when he can run and play and if exercised. Great with my son and wish I didn't have to find him another home. I was working full time and pregnant for most his life so his training isn't the best however he does know the basics and will do anything ... (Read More)for a hot dog. He is young and smart enough if you have the time and patience he will learn quickly. Very bright. Great with my 2 month old son and kid good with kids but still gets excited when played with. Buddy is terrified of the car and will fight to even get close.I have no doubt that he will make a great addition to a family. Because of his fear of the car and his breed I do not want to take him to the shelter. If someone couple be Willi.g to foster him for a couple months while I got back on my feet I would do that even. This puppy is roughly 1 year old, he loves people and playing with other dogs at the dog park. He has all his shots and he is fixed. He currently eats Blue Buffalo Grain Free High Protein dog food. He is well taken care of but I am being forced to remove him from my home, I have no way of keeping him. He needs lots of room to run, lots of attention and training. Smokey is a solid black, female Pitbull mix. She belonged to my son who is a recovering drug addict. She and my son came to live with me about 3 and 1/2 years ago. She has had a stable and loving home since that time. I do not know what she was exposed to before then. My son is not capable of caring for her and I lost my job so I am relocating back to California and I cannot take her. She is house broken and loves to play. I have 2 male pits that I need to find homes for. Hektor (brown) and Achilles (white/brindle) are liter mates and have lived together their whole lives. This being said- they are brothers, and maybe better if separated as they do fight at times. Other than that they are very good dogs. They are great with the kids and very loyal. I really love these dogs and I hate to see them go, however I work a lot and simply do not have time for them. 2 years old pitbull brindle colored mix, very loving! she loves toys and bones. Does well with other dogs, is scared of men, but adjusts well. loves to hike and the water and to play fetch. I am 8 months pregnant and am moving to a place that does not allow dogs. She is like my baby, and It honestly breaks my heart to see her go. Kano is a very good animal, I have been able to put off his being euthanized, but can not for long. He needs a good home with somone to love him. He killed a cat in Davis County and they had him on quarantie for a while, he is now home with a clean bill of health. He needs a yard to run. He gets along with my other dog and my rabbit. Pit Bull Dogs can make good pets in Utah if they match your IifestyIe. The American Pit Bull Terrier is a powerful dog with an undeserved reputation for inherent viciousness. A Pit Bull that receives attention, firm training, and thorough socialization makes a wonderful family guardian that is trustworthy with children. Pit Bulls need committed, experienced owners that exude leadership. Pit Bulls excel at high level obedience with proper training. Pit Bulls have been bred for dog fights, and unfortunately a dog that is abused, neglected, or whose instinctive aggression is encouraged, can become hostile and dangerous. Pit Bulls can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise.
